Douglas Dewayne Benson
Douglas Dewayne Benson was born on February 5, 1963 in Kennett, MO, the son of Donald and Barbara Sue Dover Benson. He died Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at the family home near Piggott at the age of 42.
He accepted Christ as his Savior when he was a teenager.
Mr. Benson was an employee of the Clay County Road Department for many years and had a close relationship with his working buddies. Six weeks ago he was diagnosed with cancer.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Sue; and his grandparents, the late Crawford and Minnie Green Benson and the late Herbert and Lula Hayes Dover.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Sue Benson of Piggott; two sons, Douglas Delane and Billy Joe Benson of OK; two daughters, Ashley Nichole ad Victoria Lynn of the home; one sister, Denise Lovins and husband, Eddie of Greenway; one nephew, Chad Lovins and wife, Jackie Byrd Lovins, of Greenway; five aunts, one uncle and many cousins and friends.
Burial in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

John Daniel Benson
John Daniel Benson, 40, of Paragould, died Monday, March 28, 2005, in the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born Jan. 2, 1965, in Piggott, the son of David and Cathleen Throgmorton Benson.
He married Kimberly Gay Harmon on Feb. 14, 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Gay Benson of Paragould; four children, Steven Benson and Matthew Benson, both of California, Chance Benson and John Daniel Benson, II,both of Paragould; two step-children, Corey Laird and Kathy Laird, both of Paragould; mother, Cathleen Benson of Arizona; one brother, Bill Lindsay of Arizona; two sisters, Bonnie Whitman of Arizona and Betty Faulkner of California; and other relatives and friends.
Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, AR.

Loyd Benson
Lloyd Benson, 78, of Piggott, died on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
He was born in Boydsville, AR, the son of the late Loyd and Opel (Irby) Benson.
He was a fireman, retiring from the Pontiac Fire Department in Michigan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louis Ann (Victor) Benson; and one brother, Velus Benson.
Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Benson of CA; one son, Jeff Benson of MI; a cousin, Bill Irby, Jr., of Piggott; and many special friends and other relatives.
Burial in Mitchell Cemetery, Greenway, AR.

Minnie Belle Green Benson
Minnie Belle Benson was born Dec. 12, 1905, at Clinton, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Dellia Belle Shelton Green. She died Wednesday, December 21,2005, at the Piggott Community Hospital at the age of 100 years and nine days. She celebrated her 100th birthday on Monday, Dec. 12, at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Piggott.
She accepted Christ at an early age.
She was united in marriage to Crawford M. Benson on Oct. 4, 1926. They had three sons and three daughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford M. Benson, in 1991; one daughter, Ella Mae; one son, William F. "Bill"; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Floyd Benson of Senath and Donald Benson of Piggott; two daughters, Jolene Deboit of Cahokia, IL, and Dorothy Wiltfang of Piggott; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Green of Clinton, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Regina Lynn Elliott Benson
Regina Lynn Benson, 47, of Holcomb, MO, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.
She was born on November 18, 1958, in Searcy, AR, the daughter of Homer and Carolyn Harrison Elliott.
She was united in marriage to Randy Don Benson on June 30, 1995, in Piggott.
Mrs. Benson was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott. She was employed as the office supervisor for the University of Arkansas Extension Service in Piggott.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Don Benson of Holcomb; two daughters, Jennifer Nicole Ward and Michael of Friendship, MO, and Jackie Lynn Taff and Josh of St. Louis; her parents, Homer and Caro1yn Elliott of Searcy; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jerald Parker of Kennett; and two grandchildren, Joslin Nicole Ward of Friendship, MO., and Lucas Robert Taff of St. Louis.
Burial in Memorial Gardens Kennett, MO.
