Frances Virginia Sanders Biles
Frances Virginia Sanders Biles, 82, of Salem, AR, daughter of the late Hyman and Nettie Sanders, was born December 25, 1920 in Piggott.
She died Friday morning, August 15, 2003 at Mari-de-Villa Retirement Center in St. Louis, MO.
She was united in marriage to Owen Harris Biles on June 15, 1944, in Piggott.
To this union three children were born, Janet Shaver of Little Rock, Joan Carlson of St. Louis, and Jane Reese of Alton, MO; five grandchildren, Christi Morizot, Billy Shaver, Jimmy and Blake Reese, and Lindsay Carlson, and five great-grandchildren, Colt, Cameron, and Caleb Shaver, Chantz and Ryon Reese.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved gardening. She was a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a son-in-law.

Vergilee Book Binkley
Vergilee "Vergie" Binkley, 78, of Flint, MI, died Friday May 21, 2004, at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich, MI.
She was born in Piggott on Aug. 3, 1925, daughter of Riley and Lottie (Pardon) Book.
She married James L. Binkley on October 31, 1942.
She was a member of the Flint Garden Club and Shriners Hillbilly Clan #55, where she was the Possum Queen in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two granddaughters, Angela (Binkley) Burk and Colleen Bolduc; her parents; sister, Edith Simpson; and brother, John Book.
She is survived by five children, Linda Sue Bolduc, Larry Binkley and wife, Claudia, Mike Binkley and wife, Terry, Melba Wilson and husband, Paul, and Denise "Dee Dee" Galonska and husband, Mike; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Ethel Hampton of Memphis, TN, Margie Jones of Rogers, AR, J.B. Book of Piggott, Doilous Book of Piggott, Ray Book of Piggott, Fay Pridmore of Campbell, TX, and Louise Harmon of Kennett, MO; Several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Burial in Meadowview Memorial Gardens.

Anna Smith Bishop
Anna Bishop, 94, of Cardwell, MO, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born September 6, 1903, in Dexter, MO., the daughter of the late Samuel Monroe and Minnie Ann Johnson Smith.
She was united in marriage on December 3, 1923, toVan Bishop, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1945. To this union three daughters and two sons were born.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Wanda Adams; and two sons, John and Jimmy Dale Bishop.
She is survived by three daughters, Agnes Manis of Piggott; Joann Bradshaw of Aurora, IL, and Barbra Holland of Cardwell; one stepdaughter, Chloe Lyttle of Visilia, CA; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and 20 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Cardwell Cemetery, in Cardwell, MO.
