Betty Crossno Birmingham

Betty Birmingham, 73, of Piggott, AR,  died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in the White River Medical Cen­ter in Batesville, AR.
 
She was born November 20, 1931, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Alvin C. Crossno and Mable Rieves Williams Crossno.
 
She was united in marriage to Raymond Birmingham on October 2, 1948. They had three children.
 
Mrs. Birmingham was baptized in 1954 and a member of the First Christian Church in Piggott. She was a beautician in Piggott for 30 years.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy, Earl and Harrison; and two sisters, Fay and Ila.
 
She is survived by her hus­band, Raymond Birmingham of Piggott; three children, Marcia Williams and companion, Don Pool, of Batesville, Dale Birming­ham of Cheyenne, WY, and David Birmingham and wife, Sherry, of Batesville: five grand­children, Ashleigh, Lindsey, Josh, Bari and Morgan; two great-­grandchildren, Daecia and Andre; 11 brothers and sisters,  Willie, Raymond, Robert, Thelma, Shirley, Glenda, Sue, June, Virl, Darlene and Carl; and other rela­tives and friends.
 
Burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, AR.

 Edward "J.L." Birmingham

Edward "J.L." Birmingham, 76, of Columbia, MO, died March 22,2003, at Boone Hospital Center.
 
He was born August 18, 1926, in Greenville, MO, the son of John Riley and Flossie L. King Birmingham.
 
On June 7, 1945, he married Mary Ruth Turner in Piggott, and she survives. He served with the U.S. Navy. Mr. Birmingham moved to Boone County, MO, in 1950. He was the owner and op­erator of Birmingham's Antiques and Used Furniture from 1966-1987 until his retirement.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Turner Birmingham; two sons, Geary E. Birmingham of Columbia and Dennis Ray Birmingham of Kingdom City, MO; two daughters, Barbara Jean Birmingham of Columbia and Carolyn Ann Cook of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Carl Birmingham and Raymond Birmingham, both of Piggott; two sisters, Mary Steinbrooke of Millstadt, IL, and Frankie Gibson of Piggott; five grand­children and one great -grandson.

Mary Ruth Turner Birmingham

Mary Ruth Birmingham, 75, of Columbia, MO, died Friday, May 14,2004, at Boon Hospital Cen­ter.
 
She was born Feb. 22,1929, in Clay County to Ray and Loretta Sanderfer Turner.
 
On June 7, 1945, she married Edward J. Birmingham in Piggott.
 
She was employed with the University of Missouri for 21 years.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Mary, Mildred and Delia; and one brother, Lester.
 
She is survived by four chil­dren, Barbara Jean Birmingham of Columbia, Carolyn Ann Cook of Springfield, Geary E. Birmingham of Columbia and Dennis Ray Birmingham of Kingdom City, Mo.; four sisters, Eula Young of Flint, MI, Pauline Terhufen of AZ, Wilma Smith of Pocahontas, AR and Muriel Foster of Poplar Bluff, MO; five grandchildren and one great-­grandson.
 
Burial  in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Raymond Birmingham

Raymond Birmingham, 78, of Piggott died on Sunday, April 30, 2006, in the Piggott Community Hospital.
 
He was born April 7,1928, in Greenville, MO, the son of the late John Riley and Flossie King Birmingham.
 
He was united in marriage to Betty Crossno on October 2, 1948. They had three children. She pre­ceded him in death on July 20, 2005.
 
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, J.L. Birmingham.
 
He is survived by three chil­dren, Marcia Williams and com­panion, Don Pool, of Batesville, Dale Birmingham of Cheyenne, WY, and David Birmingham and wife, Sherry, of Batesville; five grandchildren, Ashleigh Williams, Lindsey Birmingham, Josh Birmingham, Bari Ladd and Morgan Long; two great-grand-children, Daecia and Andre; one brother, Carl Birmingham of Piggott; two sisters, Frances Gibson of Piggott and Mary Lee Stinebrook of Belleville, IL; a very special friend, Peggy Johnson; and other relatives and friends.
 

Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, AR.
