Doyle Allen "Hot" Blackwell
Doyle Allen "Hot" Blackwell, 52, of Poplar Bluf, MO, died Monday, December 29, 2003 in the Three Rivers Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born September 6, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, the son of the late Doyle and Cora Francis Ollis Blackwell.
He was united in marriage to Kelly Ann Merritt on October 3, 1981; to this union two daughters were born.
He was employed by Southern Machine and Tool Company in Poplar Bluff for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Ann Blackwell; two daughters, Katherine Ann Blackwell and Samantha Kay Blackwell; one sister, Dessie Garner and husband, Bill, all of Poplar Bluff; and other relatives and friends.
Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Pollard, AR.

William K. Blagg
William K. Blagg, 62, of Corning, AR, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.
He was born November 17, 1938, the son of the late William and Mary E. Ramsey Blagg.
He married Vera Emanuel on Aug. 13, 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; one son, William Kenneth Blagg Jr. of Rockford, IL; one daughter, Shannon Lamanda Taylor of Corning; five grandchildren, Krystal, Ashley, Jessica and Lindsey Taylor and Emily Taylor; five sisters, Larue Russell of
Piggott, Edith Britt of Flint, MI, Bobbie Russell of St. Francis, AR, Laura Moore of Ash Flat, AR, and Joan Strand of Jonesboro, AR; and other relatives and friends.
Burial in Piggott Cemetery , Piggott, AR.

Lila Ann Copeland Blair
Lila Ann Blair, 74, of Piggott died Monday, October 3, 2005, in Las Vegas, NV.
She was born August 26,1931, in Rector, AR, the daughter of the late Marion and Lou Anna Jewell Copeland.
She was united in marriage to Curtis James Blair on August 4, 1951. They had three sons.
She was a member of the New Piggott Chapter Number 623, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis James Blair of Piggott; three sons, Curtis James Blair II and wife, Sheri, of Las Vegas; Tim Blair and wife, Sue, of Piggott and Tom Blair of Troy, OH; four grandchildren, Jon Blair and Nikki Blair, both of OH, and Heather Mauldin and Kenneth Blair, both of Piggott; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Mauldin; two brothers, Kenneth J. Copeland of Eureka, MO, and Terry Copeland of Boyce, LA; one sister, Betty Humphrey of Richmond Heights, MO; and other relatives and friends.
Burial in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Ora Hosey Worthington Sowell Blair
Ora Hosey Worthington Sowell Blair, 91, died Monday, September 8, 2003, in Orem, UT.
Born on July 7, 1912, in Coldwater, MS, she was the last of the seven children of Dr. N.R. Hosey and Rose Lightfoot Hosey to die.
A longtime former resident of Piggott and Joiner, AR, she spent the last 18 months living with her son, Dr. Madison U. Sowell, in Provo, UT.
Mrs. Blair was reared in Joiner, where her father practiced medicine. She studied dental hygiene at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and worked as a hygienist for many years in Knoxville and Memphis.
She first married Dr. Victor O. Worthington and they had three sons. Later she married M.U. Sowell of Piggott and they had one son. She taught fifth grade at the Carryville Elementary School for seven years.
Following Mr. Sowell's death she moved back to Memphis and in 1973 married Huston P. Blair. They were married for almost 30 years, until his death last year. Together they avidly participated in many craft shows, where she was known for her quilting and tole painting.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her five beloved sisters, Helen Reddoch, Elizabeth Bowden, Rosamond Banks, Irene Wilson and Geneva Rauenhorst; a brother, William Hosey; a half-brother, N.R. Hosey, Jr.; two sons, Victor Hosey Worthington and Richard Worthington; a stepdaughter, Mari Lou Kintner; and a daughter-in-law, Reba Worthington.
She is survived by two sons, Victor O. Worthington, Jr., and Madison U. Sowell; two daughters-in-law, Jaci Worthington and Debra Sowell; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a half-brother, E.J. Hosey; a half-sister, Nina Weisberger; a sister-in-law, Joe Ann Book; a brother-in-law, James Blair; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Burial in the Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.

Andrew Gordon Blake
Andrew Gordon Blake, 22, of Tarpon Springs, Fl, great nephew of Patsy Pobst of Piggott and great-grandson of the late Arthur and Edna Underwood, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his home.
He was born November 7, 1983, in St. Joseph, MI. He moved from Detroit in 1989 to Tarpon Springs. He went to East Lake High School in Palm Harbor. He enjoyed playing football.
In 1998 he moved back to Michigan to be close to his family there and went to St. Joseph High School. He returned to Florida as a self-employed landscaper. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dunedin and was baptized there.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bernita L. Gordon Blake-Foster and Dean A Foster of St. Joseph, MI; his father and step-mother, Rollie Jay Blake and Bonnie (Cross) Blake of Tarpon Springs; three brothers, Rollie Jamese Blake and Matthew Cross of Tarpon Springs, and Jameson Cross of Gainesville, FL; his sister, Amber Blake of Clearwater, FL; his grandparents, Bernice E. Gordon of Stevensville, MI, Joan Blake of St. Joseph, MI, the Fosters of Galien, MI, and Geri Chisholm of Tarpon Springs.

Madison Bailey Blake
Madison Blake, 87, of St. Peters, MO, formerly of Piggott, died Thursday; July 10, 2003, in the Brookview Nursing Center in St.Louis.
She was born July 4, 1916, in
Piggott, the daughter of the late Jessie Brown and Hattie Bailey.
She was united in marriage to Clyde Blake in October of 1935. To this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Blake; one son, James Blake; one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Norma Beezley of Mesa, AZ, and Susan Richardson of St. Peters, MO; one son, Clyde Blake, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; some great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Addie Blankenship
Addie Susan Blankenship, 45, of Campbell, MO, died Tuesday, August 25, 1998, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
A homemaker, she was born January 15, 1953, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the daughter of the late Theodore Blankenship and Joan Demay Blankenship.
She is survived by one son, Bruce Blankenship of Judsonia, AR.
Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, MO.

Martha Marie Blurton
Martha Marie Blurton, 62, of Ellsinore, MO, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1944, in Wardell, Mo, the daughter of the late Cecil Hampton and Ruth Cheshire Hampton.
She was united in marriage to Limuel Blurton on July 16, 1966, in Wardell, MO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son; one sister, Melba Shumate; and three brothers, Cecil Hampton, Leon Hampton and Jerry Hampton.
Survivors include her husband, Limuel Blurton of Ellsinore, MO; three daughters, Vickie Hankins of Chatham, IL, Teresa Herren of Caruthersville, MO, and Karren Shaffer of Ellsinore, MO; two sons, Glen Stansell of Ellsinore, MO, and Dewayne Blurton of Piggott; three sisters, Dorothy Buck of Poplar Bluff, Earlene Sentell of Qulin, MO, and Julia Hampton of Ellsinore, MO; six brothers, Eugene Hampton of St. Louis, Harold Hampton of Branson, MO, Darryl Minton of Doniphan, MO, James Minton of Horn Lake, MS, Doug Minton of Caruthersville, MO, and Dalton Minton of Flint, MI; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery in Wardell.
