Elder Joe Alonzo Brandon
Elder Joe Alonzo Brandon, 79, of Poplar Bluff, MO, died December 19, 2001, at his home.
He was born November 13,1922, in Crockett, AR, the son of the late Tom and Minnie Morgan Brandon.
He had been a resident of Poplar Bluff since 1946 and worked in the CC Camps during World War II.
He was a minister for 54 years and pastored in churches in AR and MO. He was the pastor of the Black Creek Baptist Church at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Johnny Brandon, and one sister, Shirley Parks.
He is survived by two sisters, Mae Duncan of Jessieville, AR and Lorene Kirkley of Malden, MO; several nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Burial in Rogers Chapel Cemetery near Crockett , AR.

Jame "Uncle Jim" Brandon
James "Uncle Jim" Brandon, 68, of Piedmont, MO, formerly of Campbell, MO, died on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, MO.
He was born September 10, 1937, in Malden, the son of Fred and Opal Provance Brandon.
He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Campbell American Legion Post 109.
Mr. Brandon was a graduate of Master Mechanic School in Flint, MI. He was a master gardener and kept a splendid orchard with 12 flavors of apples, pears, plums and grapes and was a very creative cider maker mixing many flavors. He liked boating and water skiing, and supported the Cardinals and Tigers in baseball. He relocated to the bootheel area in 1982 and worked as an auto mechanic in Campbell and Malden before retiring due to health problems.
He will be highly missed in Campbell because many friends called him "Uncle Jim" around town. He was loved by lots of people and will be missed by all.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Opal Provance Brandon; one sister, Glenda Court; and two brothers, Bob Brandon and Lloyd Brandon.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Brandon of Florissant, MO; one step-daughter, Becky Cate of Pollard, AR; one stepson, Patrick Day of Pollard; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Donna Head of Campbell, Sharon Nash of Malden, Pat Gales of St. Louis and Wanda Carter of Bonne Terre, MO; one brother, Fred Brandon of Malden; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial in the Bloomfield Veterans' Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

Ralph Lindon Brandon
Ralph Lindon Brandon, 81, of Norman, OK, died on July 7, 2005, at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman.
He was born on April 14, 1924, at Boydsville, AR, the son of the late Lonnie and Lizzie (Branson) Brandon.
Mr. Brandon was united in marriage to Wanda West on October 7, 1943, in Rector, AR. They were married for 61 years before his passing. He worked as a manufacturing engineer. When he retired in 1966, he was working with LaCroix Optical Inc. as a quality control engineer in Batesville, AR.
Mr. and Mrs. Brandon had moved to the Norman area from Batesville on June 21, 2005, to be closer to their son, Ron, and his wife, Evelyn, who reside in Norman. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and especially his woodworking shop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home; his son, Ron Brandon and wife, Evelyn, of Norman; one brother, Conrad Brandon of Pocahontas, TN; two sisters, Nadine Beckley of MI and Laverne Garis of AR; five grandchildren, Jennifer Mayfield, Kevin Brandon, and Allison, Alicia and Matthew Lees; three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob and Walton; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial followed in Noble 100F Cemetery in Noble, OK.

Willa Dee Peters Brandon
Willa Dee Brandon, 79, of Piggott died February 2, 2004, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.
She was born January 19, 1925, in IL. She moved to Piggott as a child with her parents, the late Emery and Clarice Gross Peters.
She was united in marriage to Ray Brandon on June 28, 1946. They were the parents of one daughter, Carolyn Alford.
Mrs. Brandon worked at Brown Shoe Company in her early years and was a devoted homemaker until her husband's death on September 3, 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended regularly as long as she was able.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Tommy Peters; and one sister, Clarabell.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Alford of Arlington, VA; two sisters, June Hollinger of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Suzann Perry of Decatur, GA; one brother-in-law and wife, James "Bo" and Josie Brandon of Piggott; two grandchildren, Bonnie and Steven Alford; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Burial in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.
