Arth Brown
Arth Brown, 80, of Piggott, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003, in the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, MO.
He was born June 18, 1922, in Pollard, AR, the son of the late Andrew and Lillie Mayo Brown.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ellen Burgess and eleven brothers and sisters.
He served in the US Army, during WWII.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Betty Williams Mitts of Piggott; eight children, Curtis Ray Brown, of Valdosta, GA; Marion Homer Brown of Pollard; Barbara Sue Sneckenberg of Homestead, FL, Lillian Blanche McAfee of Housesprings, MO, Ruth Ann McPhee of Tampa, FL, Dickie Martin Brown of Housesprings, Arth Brown, Jr., of Labadie, MO, Betty JO Dietz of Valley Park, MO; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Russell of Phoenix, AZ; and many other relatives and friends.

Donald Ray Brown
Donald Ray Brown, 70, of Paragould, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro after a prolonged illness.
He was born August 3, 1932, the son of James Thomas Brown and Hazel Parker Brown in Clay County, AR.
Mr. Brown worked for and retired from General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, TX and returned to the Paragould area in 1985. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Olson Brown, his parents, Jesse Thomas Brown and Hazel Parker Brown and a great-grandson, Christian.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Alan Brown of Salt Lake City, UT and Michael Jerome Brown and wife, Mary Ann, of Ogden, UT; eight grandchildren, Timmary Barnes of UT, Tannis and Erik Brown of WA, Theresa Craner and husband, Jon, of UT, Cindy Land and husband, Tommy of UT, Larry McKenzie and wife, Jana, of TX, and Adam and Tony Brown of UT; one brother Gerald Brown of Paragould; three sisters, Mildred Brown of Piggott, Madeline Milton of Bay City, AR, and Reba Henson of Piggott; 10 great grandchildren, J.T. Braydon, Samantha, Cecilie, Hayden, Hanna, Tyson, Colton, Austin, Payton and Mason and a long time companion, Sandra "Susie" Hall of Paragould.
Floyd J.D. "Peck" Brown
Floyd J.D. Brown, known as "Peck" by family and friends, died at the Piggott Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2006, at the age of 75.
He was born August 16, 1930, in Kennetty, MO, the son of the late Dewey and Gladys (Kirby) Brown.
Mr. Brown was a local farmer for many years. He was of the Church of Christ faith and was baptized July 22, 2004.
He was married to Dorothy Laws on September 29, 1951. They had three daughters, Linda Wells and husband, Newton Wells, Jr, Cathy Branson and husband, Allen, and Sandi Seal and husband Tony.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded om death by four brothers, Lee, Doc, Sam and Elvis Brown; and one sister, Virgina Brown.
He is survived by his three daughters; three grandsons, Adam Branson and wife, Tonya, Michael Branson and wife, Tiffiany, and Alex Seal; three granddaughters, Robbie Wells, Paula Holcomb and Tiffany Branson; one great-granddaughter, Katie Branson; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Ethan Holcomb; one sister, Hency Smith of Bernie; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial in Mitchell Cemetery, near Greenway, AR.
J.J. "Jim" Brown
J.J. "Jim" Brown, 85, of Campbell, MO, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at Three Rivers Healthcare-South Campus, in Poplar Bluff, MO.
He was born December 7, 1915, in Jonesboro, IL, the son of the late John Franklin and Levy L. Lyerly Brown.
He married Freda Leota Pleasant in September 1936 in Campbell. She preceded him in death on March 19, 1992.
He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
He was also preceded in death by one step-grandson; three sisters, Flossie Coffman, Carrie Edwards and Laura Brown; and five brothers, Floyd Brown, Fred Brown, John Brown, Paul Brown and Homer Brown.
He is survived by one daughter Glenda Sue Duty and husband, Jim, of Campbell; one son, Jerry D. Brown and wife, Toni, of Campbell; one step-son, Glenn Potter and wife, Syble, of Houston, TX; four grandsons, Jeff Brown, Gary Brown, Mark Brown, and Scott Brown; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Brown; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Brown, of Medford, Oregon; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Campbell, MO.
John Robert Brown
John Robert Brown, 78, of Piggott, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, in the Piggott Community Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1928 in Piggott and was the son of the late Carl and Ruby Parker Brown.
He was united in marriage to Kathaleen Morris on May 22, 1953. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Piggott.
He was in the US Army from 1946 to 1947 serving in Japan. He was a Piggott Volunteer Fireman for twenty-four years, a charter member of the Sugar Creek Country Club, and a member of th VFW American Legion and NARFE. He worked at the Piggott post office for forty-three years, retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Kathaleen M. Brown of Piggott; brother, Leroy Brown of Kennett; sister, Martha Elizabeth Anderson of NC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Vera Mowery; niece, Carol Crawford of Jonesboro; nephews, Jow Mowery of Little Rock, AR, Greg Brown of Tallahassee, FL, and Scott Brown of Hazelwood, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.
Lalia M. Holt Brown
Lalia M. Holt Brown, 89, of McDougal, AR, died MOnday, November 26, 2001, at Clay Healthcare in Corning, AR.
She was born April 4, 1912, in Sitka, AR, the daughter of the late Luther and Amy Dotson Holt.
She married Marion "Jim" Brown on September 22, 1935. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1981.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Jewell Brown.
She was a member of the Community Christian Church in McDougal.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy L. Brown, Bobby L. Brown and Joe E. Brown, all of McDougal; one daughter, Wanda Roark of McDougal; two brothers, Gerald Holt of Crawfordsville, AR and Clyde Holt of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Una Pannell of West Memphis, AR; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nell Lovins Brown
Nell Lovins Brown, 93, of Rector, AR, died Thursday, December 20, 2004, at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett.
She was born December 28, 1911, in Greenville, MO, the daughter of the late Henry Lovins and Margaret Scritchfield Lovins.
She was united in marriage to Earl T. Brown on March 29, 1930. H preceded her in death on July 3, 1980.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by on son in infancy; one daughter, Earlene Brown; two brothers, Ed and Bud Lovins; and two sisters, Ellen Carr and Mae Jackson.
She is survived by three sons, Gaylon Brown of Byhalia, MS, Paul Brown of Rector, and Denver Brown of Sikeston, MO; three daughters, Bonnie Brown of Rector, Brenda Rogers of Walker, LA, and Billie Clayton of Rector; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
