Full Text of Obituaries

Carl E. Causey

Carl E. Causey, 63, of Piggott died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, in the Piggott Community Hospital.
 
He was born August 19, 1941, in St. Louis, the son of Doyle Ed­ward and Virginia Book Causey.
 
He was united in marriage to Janice Outland on November 23, 1961. They had three children.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Edward Causey; and one sister, Bonnie Rose Cau­sey.
 
He is survived by his wife, Janice M. Causey of Piggott; mother, Virginia L. Causey of Piggott; three children, Donna Watts and husband, Joseph Adam, of Waterloo, IL,  Mark Cau­sey and wife, Patricia, of New Athens, IL, and Sheryl Gean and husband, Mark, of Valmeyer, IL; seven grandchildren, Joseph An­drew Watts, Brandon LaMear, Zachery Causey, Seth Causey, Tyler Gean, Lindsey Gean and Emily Causey; one brother, Earl Causey of St. Charles, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.
 
Burial in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Gaylon Homer Causey 

Gaylon Homer Causey, 65, of Hematite, MO, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at his home.
 
He was born November 17,1935, in Pollard, AR, the son of Homer and Dora McKinney Causey.
 
He married Wilma Gene Johnson, who preceded him in death.
 
He then married Dee Haffner Harmon, who survives.
 
He was an assemblyman for General Motors and was a mem­ber of United Auto Workers 2164. He was a member of the Festus Pentecostal Church of God.
In addition to his wife, Dee, he is survived by four sons, Charles Neal Causey and wife, Kay, of Potosi, MO, Rick Causey and wife, Jennifer, of Austin, TX, Travis Causey of Bonne Terre, MO, and Randy Causey and wife, Lorrie, of DeSoto, MO: four step­children, Gary and Connie Doss and Ray and Sherri Matchell of Festus, MO, Carl and Teresa Harmon of Crystal City, MO, and Marty and Susie Evans of Potosi; his mother, Dora Causey, of Piggott; his brothers and sisters, Donald (Twila) Causey of Walnut . Ridge, Bobby (Irene) Causey, Delmar (Faye) Causey, Ira (Totsie) Causey, and Jerry (Pat) Causey, all of Piggott, Thelma Johnson of EI Dorado, AR, Martha (Doran) Thompson of Rector and Mary Kay (Mitchell) Johnson of Victoria, MO; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
 
Burial was in Woodlawn Cem­etery in DeSoto.

Jewel Causey

 
Jewel Causey, 73, of Senath, MO, died Thursday, January 1, 2004, at his residence in Senath.
 
He was born April 21, 1930, in Piggott, the son of the late James R. and Addie Keith Causey.
 
Mr. Causey was married to Vir­ginia Wagster on February 10, 1950. He married Drenda Wilson on July 22, 1972, in Senath.
 
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Ed Causey.
 
He is survived by his wife, Drenda Causey of Senath; three sons, Jason Causey of Senath, Larry Causey and wife, Shelly, of Piggott and Steve Causey and wife, Belinda, of Paragould; one daughter, Sherry Galyean and husband, Darrell, of Piggott; one brother, Donald Causey of Blytheville; one sister, Ruth Hunter of Tulsa, OK; five grandsons, Kris, Dustin, Chase, Chance and Brice Scott; and many other relatives and friends.
 
Burial  in the Senath Cemetery.

 Jannetta C. Binkley Cossey

Janetta C. Binkley Cossey, 64, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, SC.
 
She was born February 9, 1941, in Piggott, the daughter of Frances Johnson Binkley and the late Jo­seph Osborn Binkley. She gradu­ated from Piggott High School and Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge.
 
She continued her education and taught elementary school in Flint, MI. In later years she moved back to Piggott, attended Practical Nursing School and worked in the hospital at Kennett. She then moved to Jackson, MO, where she worked at Dale Nurs­ing Home. Due to ill health, she retired and moved to Georgetown to be near her son. She was a member of the Fireside Ministries working with the youth, president of the Georgetown Housing Authori­ties, did volunteer work in differ­ent civic activities and taught an independent Bible study class for shut-ins and the elderly twice a week. She loved the Lord and helping others.
 
Her hobbies included quilting, oil painting, crafts and silk flower arranging. She has a busy active life before cancer took her home to be with the Lord.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cossey of Kennett, MO.
 
Survivors are her former hus­band, Donald Howard Cartwright of Flint, MI; a son, Don Cartwright, and grandson, Nathanial, of Georgetown, SC; her mother Frances Johnson Binkley, formerly of Piggott, of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Darrell Binkley of Piggott; nieces, nephews and many other friends.
 
Burial in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
