Raymond Chadwell

Raymond Chadwell, 76, of Piggott died Sunday, June 11, 2006, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

 

He was born March 11, 1930, in Flint, MI, the son of the late Raymond and Mildred Lane Chadwell.

 

He was united in marriage to Claudine Rimmer in 1948 and they had five children. She pre­ceded him in death in 2003. He was then united in marriage to Marie Roark on May 14, 2005.

 

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Jeanie, in 1954; and one sister, Letha Hefner.

 

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Gary Chadwell of Clio, MI; and Glen Chadwell of Franklin, TN; two daugh­ters, Dena Ann Gustafson of Traverse City, MI and Patricia Gray of FL; five grandchil­dren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jewell Chadwell of McKenzie, TN, and Wayne Chadwell of Fenton, MI; and many other relatives and friends.

 

Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, TN.

 

 

Charles N. Chadwick
Charles N. Chadwick, age 69, of  Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Rector, died Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at his home.
 
He was born February 19, 1931, in Izard County to the late James L. Chadwick and Rosa Soden Chadwick. He was a retired musi­cian and Purolator Courier guard. He was a member of the Univer­sity Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Drew Chadwick; three sisters, Willene Chadwick, Eliza Raney and Betty Mansfield, and one grandchild, Sumer Lyn Hudspeth.
 
He is survived by a beloved friend and caregiver, Glenda Berry, of the home; one son, Chuck Chadwick of Fayetteville; one daughter, Katrina Taylor of Springdale, AR; four brothers, Oral Chadwick of Calico Rock, David O. (Doc) Chadwick of Lexington, KY, J.D. Chadwick of Rector and Mike Chadwick of Piggott; two sisters, Leona Thomason of Cashmere, WA, and Opal Johnson of Rector, and four grandchildren, Miranda McKinnon of Fayetteville, Ashlee Chadwick of Fayetteville, Lyndsi Taylor of Springdale and Krystopher Taylor of Springdale.

Charles R. Chaffin

Charles R. Chaffin, 65, of Williamsville, MO, died Sunday, May 24, 1998, in the St. Louis Uni­versity Hospital. He had been ill for the past year.

 

He was born August 15, 1932, at Pol­lard, AR. He served 20 years in the Air Force and Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer from the Army in 1973. He was also a member of the Retired Officers Association and a life member of the DAV.

 

He was united in marriage on October 12, 1987, in Williamsville to Sarah J. Haney, who survives.

 

In addition to his wife, he is sur­vived by five children and stepchil­dren, Sarah Macey of Williamsville, Charlotte R. Wrinkle of Cape Girardeau, MO, Sharon Stephens of Pop­lar Bluff, MO, Don Chaffin of Wappapello, MO, and Scott Macey of Clarkton, WA; three sisters, Golda Hittle of Flint, MI, Virginia Johnson of St. Joseph and Nancy Phillips of Enterprise, AL; three brothers, Willis Calvin Chaffin of Garrett, IN, William Albert Chaffin of Decatur, AL, and James Skidmore of Las Vegas, NE; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was held at 5 p.m.

 

Burial was in Mole Hill Cemetery at Broseley, MO.

 

 

Joseph T. Cheshire

Joseph T. Cheshire, 75, of Rec­tor died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
 
He was born July 30, 1931, in Gideon, MO, to the late Joseph T. Cheshire Sr. and Sarah (Turner) Cheshire and was mar­ried August  25,1950, in Piggott to the former Frankie Pearson. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.
 
He also was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Byrum.
 
Survivors include his wife, Frankie Cheshire, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe W. and Lee Cheshire of Paragould and Danny and Beth Cheshire of Pollard; two daugh­ters, Karon Gilkison of Paragould and Kathy Murray of Paragould; one brother, Charles James; one sister, Peggy Parker of St. Louis, MO; 10 grandchildren, Jackie Straub, Jamie Thomason, Logan Cheshire, Daniel Cheshire, Matthew Cheshire, Misty Murray, Mindy Williams, Shelley Moore, Gary Gilkison and Christie Gilkison, and 13 great-grandchil­dren, Jasmine, Mackenzie, Hayden, Callie, Christian, Abby Jo, Shelby, Amber, Zack, Kiersten, Emma, Kobe and An­drew.
 
Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Geneva Fae Mannon Christopher 

Geneva Fae Christopher, 87, of Piggott died Friday, September 1, 2000, at the Piggott Nursing Center.

 

She was born August 5, 1913, in Lafe, the daughter of the late John and Lula Mannon.

 

She was also preceded in death by a son, two daughters, one sis­ter and two brothers.

 

She is survived by her hus­band, Walter Christopher; six sons, Darrell Christopher of AR, Dewayne Christopher of Burton, MI, Cecil Christopher of Phoenix, AZ, Byron Christopher of Flagstaff, AZ, and Boyce and Terry Christopher of Grand Blanc, MI; three daughters, Verla Christopher of Paragould, Vonna Peek of Paintrock, TX, and Sharon Wilmo of Fenton, MI; four sisters, Elma Gibbs of Lake City, Verlene Phillips and Beatrice Roock of Plant City, FL, and Vela Cantrell of GA; sev­eral grandchildren, great-grand­children and great-great-grand­children.

 

Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery near Rector.

Walter H. Christopher

Walter H. Christopher, 93, of Piggott died Saturday, September 11, 2004, at Piggott.

 

He was born June 12, 1911, in Rector to the late Edwin and Nancy Christopher.

 

He was a carpenter and of the Methodist faith.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Geneva Faye Chris­topher; three sons, Dewayne Christopher and two infant sons, Roger and Loyd Dean Christo­pher; one infant daughter, Verna Christopher; and one sister, Artie Lacey.

 

Survivors include five sons, Darrell Christopher of Piggott, Cecil Christopher of Phoenix,

AZ, Byron Christopher of Grand Blanc, MI, and Terry Christo­pher of Flint, MI; three daugh­ters, Verla Christopher of Piggott, Vonna Peck of Paint Rock, TX, and Sheron Wildmo of Fenton, MI; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

 

Burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
