Darrell Wilson Clark

Darrell Wilson Clark, 84, died May 7, 2002, in Chandler, TX. His remains were cremated.
 
He was born March 12, 1918, the son of the late Homer E. Sr. and Audrey M. Parker Clark.
 
He married Nadine Powell in 1950. To this union one child was born.
 
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Champ V. and Homer E. Jr.
 
He was a decorated World War II veteran. He enlisted in 1940 and was an infantry sergeant in II Corps under Gen. George Patton in North Africa. He was discharged in April 1945.
 
He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed the open spaces. His ashes were spread over the trout streams in the vast northwest in Oregon.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Clark Siegel of Ashland, OR, and grandson, Erik Clark Siegel; his sisters, LaVerne (Bill) Spicer of TN and Joan (Edward) Teague of Sun City, AZ; a brother, Ri­chard (Betty) Clark of Bedford, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

 Delcie Melissa Carroll Clark

Delcie Melissa Clark, 86, of Piggott died Friday, January 12, 2001, at Piggott Community Hospital.
 
She was born July 20, 1914, in Marmaduke, AR,  the daughter of the late Joseph William and Anna Parlee McGlothin Carroll.
 
She married William P. "Samp" Clark on October 28, 1934. To this union one son was born.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samp; one son, Jo­seph Preston Clark; and one brother, Clyde Aubrey Carroll.
 
She is survived by one grand­daughter, Marla Jo Root of Gadsden, TN; two great-grand-
daughters, Ashley and Stephanie; two sisters, Ruby Harris of Piggott and Dorothy Weber of St. Louis; three brothers, Max Carroll of Warren, MI, Gene Carroll of Paragould, Jerry Carroll of Greenway; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
 
Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery near Greenway, AR.

John Harley Clark

John Harley Clark, 93, of Piggott, died July 31, 2002, in his daughter's home in Piggott.
 
He was born September 3, 1908, in Piggott, the son of the late Loren and Clara Bell Mowery Clark. He was united in marriage to Vessie Scott  January 3, 1941. To this union three daughters were born.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vessie; one daughter, Stella Louise Clark; and nine brothers and sisters.
 
He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Piggott, and he was an Army Vet­eran of World War II.
 
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Whaley and hus­band, Jerry, of Piggott, and Linda Shipley and husband, David, of Greenway; three grandchildren, Grant Elser and wife, Melissa, of Piggott, Shane Shipley and wife, Crystal, of Rector, and Sean Shipley of Piggott; two great-­grandchildren; Brianna Elser and Reece Shipley; one sister, Edith Underwood of Piggott; and a host of other friends and relatives.
 
Burial in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

 Madeline Chiles Clark

Madelene Chiles Clark, 85, of Jonesboro, died Monday, February 16, 2004, at her home.
 
She was born in Greenway and lived in West Memphis before moving to Jonesboro in 1951.
 
She was a school teacher for the Jonesboro Public School Dis­trict for over 20 years before her retirement; a graduate of Arkan­sas State University, where she obtained a B.S.E. in Business Edu­cation and a Master's degree in Business Administration. She was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ and attended the Southwest Church of Christ for many years where she served as tour guide for the Classic Se­niors group.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Norman Clark, in 1973.
 
Survivors include one son, Thomas C. Clark of Fort Worth, TX a daughter, Susan M. Carrier of Plano, TX; one. brother, R.B. Chiles of Detroit, MI; four grandchildren, Brad Clark, Barry Clark, Deborah Carrier and Lisa Crabtree; and two great-grandchildren, Hallie Crabtree and Weston Crabtree.
 
Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
