Floy Holcomb Cooksey

Floy Cooksey, 79, of Piggott died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, in the Piggott Nursing Center in Piggott.

 

Born October 2, 1919, in Pollard, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Meek and Santafe Mooney Holcomb.

 

She was united in marriage to Thomas Cooksey.

 

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sidney Holcomb, Rawleigh Holcomb and Wayland Holcomb; and three sisters, Murriel Davis, Tula Winningnear and Marie Vaden.

 

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Cooksey of Piggott; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Ciaravino of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Josephine, Joe, Paul and Patricia; eight great-grand­children; one brother, Dewayne Holcomb of Brandenton, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Burial in Holcomb Cem­etery in Pollard, AR.

 Richard Chester Cooksey

Richard Chester Cooksey, 72, of Pollard, AR, died Sunday, September 9, 2001, at his home.

 

He was born May 8, 1929, in Tilton, AR, the son of the late Chester and Edna Parl Fore Cooksey.

 

He was preceded in death by a step-son, Ronald Gibson; two brothers, Oris and Lawrence; and one sister, Chessie.

 

He is survived by one daugh­ter, Vickie Lack of Pollard; one son, Russell Cooksey of Deering, MO; 10 grandchildren; two great-­grandsons; one step-son, Dale Gibson; eight brothers and sisters, James, Dorothy, Beulah, Lois, Pat, Betty, Shirley and Janetta; and other relatives and friends.

 

Burial in Gregory Cemetery in Kennett, MO.

Thomas Cooksey
Thomas Cooksey, 84, of Piggott died Monday, February 5, 2001, at Piggott Community Hospital.
 
He was born Feb. 18, 1916, in Detroit, MI,  the son of the late Mr.and Mrs. Albert Victor Cooksey. He married Floy Holcomb. She preceded him in death on March 16,1999.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ciaravino and husband, John, of Ft. Worth, TX;
four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
 
Burial will be in Holcomb Cem­etery near Pollard, AR.
