Clinton Ray Daffron

Clinton Ray Daffron, 75, of Campbell died Tuesday, January 1, 2002, at Piggott Community Hospital.
 
He was born October 18, 1926, in St. Francis, the son of the late Frank and Ada Ayers Daffron.
 
He married Virginia Blount on November 11, 1950, in St. Francis.
 
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Daffron, and one sister, Thelma Cashion.
 
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell and was a retired truck driver.
 
He is survived by his wife, Vir­ginia; two daughters, Tina Shafferkoetter of St. Louis and Lisa Rice and husband, Michael, of KY;  three sons, Mike Daffron of Little Rock, Randy Daffron of Gulfport, MS, and Doug Daffron of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Michael Brian Daffron and Shannon Eades of St. Louis, Nicole Daffron of Kennett, Rachel Daffron, Eric Daffron and Jessica Daffron, all of Little Rock, and Elisha Rice and Seth Rice of KY; and five great-grand­children.
 
Burial was in Gravel Hill Cem­etery near St. Francis.

L.J. Dale

L.J. Dale, 80, of Piggott died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Cen­ter in Jonesboro.
 
He was born April 11, 1921, in Rector, the son of the late Woodie and Gladys McLeskey Dale.
 
He married Ruby Groves on October 28, 1945. To this union three chil­dren were born.
 
He was a member of the First General Baptist Church, served in the Air Force during World War II, and worked for Brown Shoe Company for 28 years.
 
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Chris Walker; one sister, Mary Yates; and four brothers, Clifford, Carl, Uyless and Eldo.
 
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two sons, Larry Dale and wife, Carolyn, of Hot Springs and Darrel Dale and wife, Sheila, of Rector; one daughter, Katherine Champ and husband, Steve, of Piggott; five grandchildren, Laura Larimore and Kimberly Dale of Little Rock, Brian Dale of Hot Springs, Kerry Champ of Fayetteville, and Jennifer Champ of Piggott; two great-grandsons, Benjamin Larimore and Alex Gossett; three brothers, James Dale of Pollard, Gerald Dale of St. Charles, MO, and Earl Dale of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Imogene Millikan of McDougal and Melva Jean Chilcutt of Ellsberry, MO; and other relatives and friends.
 
Burial in Piggott Cemetery.

Carrie D. Damron

Carrie D. Damron, 65, of Lafe, AR, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
 
He was born January 1, 1938, in Rector to the Frank Damron and Eloise McClure Damron.
 
In February of 1999 he was united in marriage to Josephine Suga Damron.
 
Mr. Damron worked in civil ser­vice and as a hotel manager. He was a 40 year army veteran and served two tours in Vietnam. He worshipped in the Church of Christ.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Damron; and one brother, Tommy Lee Damron.
 
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Damron of the home; one son, Thomas Damron of
Schweinfurt, Germany; two daughters, Carolyn Damron of Schweinfurt, Germany, and Jalisa Damron of the home; his mother, Eloise McClure Damron of Flint, MI; two brothers, Jimmy D. Damron of Rector and Terry Lee Damron of Dallas; six sisters, Peggy Langston, Marilyn Smith, Carolyn Florida, Joyce Coon and Debbie Arnd, all of Flint, MI, and Betty Hill of Chicago.
 
Burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located west of Rector.

Fred Daniels

 Fred Daniels, 90, of St. Francis died Sunday, August 20, 2000, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, MO.

Dowanda Genevieve Corgan Daughhetee

Dowanda Genevieve Corgan Daughhetee, 69, of Blytheville, AR,  died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
 
She was born September  4,1931, in Portageville, MO, the daughter of the late Glen and Kathleen Fielder Corgan.
 
She married Virgil Loyd Daughhetee on December 31, 1947. To this union five children were born.
 
She was a retired dietary man­ager. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; one son, Robert Allen Daughhetee and one infant daughter.
 
She is survived by one son, Lloyd Daughhetee of Piggott; two daughters, Carole Luter of the home and Barbara Conder of Az­tec, NM; four grandchildren, Lisa Hand of Blytheville, Ryan Daughhetee of Wichita, KS, Jason Daughhetee of Biloxi, MS., and Sean Conder of Az­tec, NM; one great-granddaugh­ter, Ashton Daughhetee of Biloxi, MS; two brothers, Jerry Corgan of Orange, CA, and Bob Corgan of Sikeston, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
 
Burial at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.

Juanita Roslee Day Davidson

Juanita Roslee Day Davidson , 75, of Brookland, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.

She was born February 27, 1930 in Piggott, the daughter of the late William Elmo Day and Belle Dickerson Day.

She was united in marriage to Thomas Davidson on December 21, 1946, in Piggott.  They had three children.

Mr. Davidson preceded her in death on March 12, 1997.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Henry Davidson; one sister, Mary Thornberry; and one brother, Homer Day.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Suzette Davidson of Jonesboro; one daughter and a son-in-law, Sue and W.C. Doyle of College Station, TX; one sister, Flora Harvell of Grandin, MO; one brother, Junior Day of Morehouse, MO; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial in Stanfield Cemetery.

Annie Modine Fowler Davison

 Annie Modine Davison, 91, of Manila, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at her home. Born at Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Bell Boyd Fowler and had been a Manila resident since 1932.
 
She was the widow of Albert Davison and was a member of the Browns Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lemoin Davison, and a son-in-­law, Don Pitts.
 
Survivors include four sons, Robert Davison of Manila, Sammy Davison of Tulsa, OK, Carroll Davison and Larry Davison, both of Blytheville, AR; five daughters, Marie Pitts of Piggott, Linda Scott of St. Ann, MO, Vela Williams of Cardwell, Grace Bunch of Piedmont, MO, and Sue Garrett of Qulin, MO; one brother, Harold "Bud" Fowler of Manila; one sister, Alla Mae Clark of Yuba City, CA; 30 grandchildren; 45 great-grand­children; and six great-great grandchildren.
 
Burial at Ma­nila Cemetery.
