Christene Byrd Harris

Christene Byrd Harris, 68, of Kennett, MO, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at her home.

She was born March 5, 1933, in the Blue Cane Community, the daughter of the late W.R. and Ruthe Morris Byrd.

She married Lloyd Harris April 19, 1952.  He survives.

She was a member of the Third Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus and Orba Byrd, And one sister, Elois Baker.

She is also survived by two sons, Rickey Harris of Sherwood, AR, and Barnie Harris and wife Audrey, of Georgetown, SC; two daughters, Debbie Burger of Paragould and Tresia Webb and husband, Derrick of Rector; one brother Connie Byrd of Silversale, WA; two sisters, Velma Shores and husband Charlie, of Trumann, AR and Louise Carman and husband, A.L., of St. Francis, AR; 10 grandchildren, Brian Harris, Jo Beth Shown and husband Tim, Wendy Campbell and husband, Jason, Brooke Harris, Brittany Webb, Alizza Buchannan, Kendra, Shaunie, Hollie and Jonah Harris; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Madison and Whitney Shown, Ethan Ashabranner and Eli Campbell.

Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery, in Rector, AR.

 Pauline Geneva Harris

Pauline Geneva Harris, 74, of Piggott, died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Poplar Bluff, MO.

She was born April 20, 1924, in Clay County, AR, the daughter of the late John W. and Gladys Blanch Fitzgerald.

She was united in marriage to Charles Robert Harris on May 30, 1946, in St. Louis, MO.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Piggott and was a retired nurses aide at the Piggott Nursing Center.

Survivors include one son, Gary Harris, of Springfield, MO; one daughter, Norma Jean Batchelor of Poplar Bluff, MO; three grandchildren, John Fitzgerald Crabtree, Kimberly Jean Cagle and Lynn Norman; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Vicki Lynn Tanner Harris

Vicki Lynn Harris, 54, of Greenway, AR, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in the St. Benards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.

She was born July 8, 1950, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of George E. and Ola Maxine Dalton Tanner.

She was preceded in death by her father, George E. Tanner.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Harris of Pollard, and Matthew Harris of Fisk, MO; one grandson, Matthew W. Harris of Rosebud, MO; her mother, Maxine Tanner; one brother, Mark S. Tanner of Bella Vista, AR; one sister, Pamela Hickson of Piggott; and other relatives and friends.

Burial in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, AR.

Winifred E. Strickler Harris

Winifred E. Harris, 86 of Albion, MI, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Tendercare-Albion.

She was born September 11, 1917, in Hunter, AR, to Homer Ray and Minnie Beulah Pipkin Strickler.

She worked at Union Steel and Corning Glass in Albion for many years before marrying Bernice Harris and moving to Chicago, IL in 1958. She moved back to Albion after her retirement in 1984.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Albion.  She enjoyed religious ad country music, and antique hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Ray and Minnie; and a niece, Jerre Martin.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth James Strickler and wife, Katherine, of Vandercook Lake; two nieces, Cherre Neitzka of Chicago and Sharon Medina of Vandercook Lake; one nephew, James Bradshaw of Mooresville, NC; and one great-nephew, Dennis Neitzka of Albion.

Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
