Barbara Hester

Barbara Hester, 57, of Piggott, died Monday, April 3, at her home.

She was born October 8, 1942, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Golden "Pete" and Lela Cullum Hester.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Latimer and Wenona Laverne Hester.

She is survived by one daughter, Gena Gentry and husband, Richard, of Humble, TX; one brother, Barry Hester of Rogers, AR; three sisters, Ruby Latimer of Piggott, Julia Trout of Paragould, AR, and Nancy Gilmore of Elizabethtown, KY; and many other relatives and friends.

Burial in Mitchell Cemetery, near Greenway, AR.

Beadie Lee Wegel Hester

Beadie Lee Hester, 66, of Harriman, TN, formerly of Piggott, died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at the Winridge Nursing Center of Crossville.

Her husband of 51 years, Gerval Wallace Hester, died Saturday, September 9, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charlie David Wegel and Ona Elizabeth Hughes Wegel; a daughter, Elizabeth Diana Hester Harness; and a sister, Flossie Marie Wegel.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Dale Hester and wife, Nancy, of Wartburg, TN and Charles Otis Hester and wife, Sheila, of Hope Mills, NC; grandchildren, Edward Hester, Adam Harness, Rebecca Harness, Chad Hester, Virginia Hester and Wendy Hester; and a sister, Charlene Nimer of Toxaway, NC.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church.  She lived in Michigan for 20 years before moving back to East Tennessee.

Burial in the Hester Family Cemetery in Sugar Grove Valley, TN.

Gerval Wallace Hester

Gerval Wallace Hester, 71, of Harriman, TN, died Saturday, September 9, 2000 at the Cumberland Medical Center of Crossville.  His wife of 51 years, Beadie Lee Hester, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2000. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Otis Z. Hester and Della Diana Lowe Hester; a daughter, Elizabeth Diane Hester Harness; and a brother, Robert West Hester.

He was born November 28, 1928, in Roane County, TN and lived in Michigan for 20 years before moving back to East Tennessee.

He worked as a farmer and for N&H Railway, Chrysler Motor Company and for Rockwell Standard Corporation until 1967.

He was a member of the Sugar Grove Valley Baptist Church and was known to many on the CB radio as "Poplar Creek."

He is survive by his children, Roger Dale Hester and wife, Nancy, of Wartburg, TN and Charles Otis Hester and wife, Sheila, of Hope Mills, NC; grandchildren, Edward Hester, Adam Harness, Rebecca Harness, Chad Hester, Virginia Hester and Wendy Hester; sisters, Mary Helen Beck of MI, Wilma Jones of Roseville, MI, and Mattie June Springfield of Sugar Grove Valley, TN; and brothers Thomas Zirkle Hester of Athens, GA, and Samuel William Hester of Midtown, TN.

Burial in the Hester Family Cemetery in Sugar Grove Valley, TN.
