Ida Mae Kirkham Acker
Ida Mae Kirkham Acker, 67, of St. Francis, AR, died Monday, January 19, 2004, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.
She was born July 3, 1936, in Harbor Heights, MI, the daughter of Claud Garland Kirkham and Mildred Irene Randall Kirkham.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Lee Acker on December 24, 1963, in Pontiac, MI. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1997.
Mrs. Acker was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Franci. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Campbell.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister Irene DeLorge.
She is survived by two sisters, Jean Pleasant of Campbell, MO and Ellen Grossmeyer of Piggott; one brother Robert Kirkham of Dallas, GA; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joseph Adams
Joseph Adams, 73, of Walnut Ridge died Saturday, November 10, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
He was born May 26, 1928 in Bay, AR, the son of the late Joseph Wesley and Mary Ellen Dale Adams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Adams, in 1975; five brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by one brother, Curtis Adams, of Clarkton, MO, and other relatives and friends.
Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lorado, AR.
Lloyd Hays Adams
Lloyd Hays Adams, 82, of Piggott, died Thursday, December 18, 203 at John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, MO.
He was born in El Paso, AR, to the late Orn and Emma Adams, early Leachville residents. He was a retired superviso for Pepsi Cola Company and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Pollard, AR. Mr. Adams was an Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Johnson Adams, of the home; two sons, Tim Adams and wife, Sue, of Piggott and Kenneth Adams and wife, Stavey of Jonesboro; two daughters, Peggy Nettles and Laveena Adams, both of Jonesboro; two step-sons, Denny Stokes and wife, May, of Memphis, TN, and Dan Stokes and wife, Debra, of Paragould; one step-daughter, Barbara Barjer and husband, Mick, of Piggott; one brother Charles "Boe" Adams of Leachville; three sisters, Bonnie Lloyd of Irving, TX, Rose Gray and Tulula Cage, both of Leachville; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Donald Gene Akridge
Donald Gene Akridge, 60, of Campbell, MO, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1944, in Gideon, MO, ths son of the late Lonzo Howard Akridge, Sr. and Dorothy Prentice Akridge.
He married Bonnie Jean Ellsworth on July 19, 1989, in Malden, MO.
He retired from General Motors in St. Louis and was of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Wilburn Akridge and Terry Akridge; and one nephew, Ryan Akridge.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Akridge of Campbell; a mother-in-law, Opal Ellsworth of Campbell, three sons, Brian Akridge and wife, Tonya, of Piggott, Donald Akridge II of Dallas, TX and Donald Akridge, Jr. and wife, Jenny of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Dillon Ledford of Campbell, Katie and Noah Akridge of St. Louis, and Phoebe Akride of Dallas; five sisters, Phyllis Sims of Malden, MO, Della Vannasdall of Gideon, Joyce Ellsworth of Malden, Judy Collins of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Ann Walbert of Malden; four brothers, Lonzo Akridge of Campbell, Jerry Akridge of Gideon and Robert Akridge of Campbell.

Joseph Alcantara
Joseph Alcantara, 73, died January 28, 2004, in Sun City West, AZ, after a long illness. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict at the Chosin Reservoir and was a member of the Chosin Few Band of Fraternal Brothers.
He is survived by two brothers, Frank Alcantara and wife, Laura, of Glendora, CA, and Robert Alcantara of San Diego, CA; three daughters, Vicky Sherman and husband, Anthony, of Rena Lara, MS, Sharon Lucas and husband, Jim, of Piggott and Gay Kreinbrink and husband, Don, of Jackson, MS; eight grandchildren, Dane Moorman of Greenville, S, Nicholas Starling of Lubbock, TX, Jason Simpson and wife, Tiffany, Chris Simpson and Brian Simpson, all of Piggott, Crystall Scott and husband, Craig, of Paragould, Brenee and Amber Kreinbrink of Jackson, MS; and six great-grandchildren.
Paul E. Alderson
Paul E. Alderson, 70 of Fredericktown, MO, died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Parkland Regional Medical Center in Farmington, MO.
He was born in Clay County, AR, June 14, 1935, the son of the late William and Eva (Pierson) Alderson.
On December 29, 1954, he was united in marriage to Lucille Viecent of Puxico, MO.
He attended the Fourth Street Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO. When he and his wife moved to Fredericktown, they attended Marquand Baptist Church in Marquand, MO. He loved to sing bass in the choir and did so until his health would not allow him to attend church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Alderson of Fredericktown, MO; one son, Douglas Alderson and wife, Judy, of Cadet, MO; two daughters, Janice Nicholes of Cuba, MO, and Debra Shepard and husband, Dave, of Lawton, OK; one sister, Melba Foster and husband, Donald, of Piggott; six grandchildren, Gary Shepard and wife Roxeanna, Charlie, Randy, and Amy Alderson, Beth Wisely and husband, and Julia Blucker; seven great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Burial in Laurel Hills Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Marie Easterwood Alexander
Marie Alexander, 90, of Corning, AR, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at the Piggott Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Easterwood and Bradley Easterwood, and two sisters, Mamie Jones and Mildred Davis.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Simpson of Las Vegas, NV; four sisters, Mae Davis of Piggott, Florene Blankenship of Pollard, AR, Wilma Carruth of Clarendon, AR, and Wanda Smith of Roe, AR; one brother, Doyle Easterwood of Phonex, AZ; granddaughters, Holly Simpson and Jennifer Simpson, and a great-grandson, Jordan Simpson.

Darrell Timothy Armour
Darrell Timothy Armour, 47, of Hardy, AR, died in an automobile accident in Willow Springs, MO, Thursday, July 31, 2003.
Mr. Armour was born on March 13, 1956, in Memphis, TN and formerly worked for Schering Plough in Memphis as a Senior Research Technician. In 2003, he received a bachelor of arts in English from Lyon College in Batesville; in 2000 he received an associates in Liberal Arts from Ozarka College in Melbourne, AR; in 1994, he received an associates degree in Data Processing from State Technical Institute and studied Telecommunications at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where he was a member of Sigma Tau Delta.
He was a member of the Batesville Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Redmon; and a son, Billy Armour.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Armour of Hardy; two sons, Brent Armour of Memphis and Tanner Armour of Hardy; one daughter, Jourdan Armour of Hardy; his father and step-mother, Williams Temple and Patsy Armour of Southave, MS; and two brothers, Chris Armour and Kevin Armour of Memphis.
Jewell L. Matchett Ary
Jewell L. Ary, 74, of Greenville, MO, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff, MO.
She was born November 28, 1925, in Pollard, AR, the daughter of the late William and Malissa Bearden Matchett.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters, and two sons, Vernon Don Ary, Sr. and Roger Stanley Ary.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon W. Ary, who she married on April 6, 1946, in Piggott.
Other survivors include one brother, Hubert Matchett of Brosely, MO; one sister, Lee Oria Nyburg of Madison, WI; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial in New Hope Cemetery, Pollard, AR.
Macy Ray Ashby
Macy Ray Ashby, 82, of St. Francis, AR, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, MO.
He was born September 19, 1919, in Cord, AR, the son of the late George Washington and Mary Pairlee Birmingham Ashby.
He married Martha Marie Russell on December 23, 1947, in MI. She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was retired from General Motors, of Flint, MI. He was a WWII Army veteran and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a Mason.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
He is survived by other relatives and friends.

Agnes E. Atkison
Agnes E. Atkison, 90, of White Lake, MI, died Monday, March 20, 2006.
She was the wife of the late Edward Atkison; mother of Peggy (William) Main and Judy (Don) Holland; grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of 24; great-great-grandmother of thre. She was a dedicated member of the Oxbow Lake Baptist Church.
